There are several Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer modes that cycle throughout the game. While some of these modes get little attention, one particular game variant has captured fans’ hearts. In an upcoming update, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is planning to return a fan-favorite game mode to the playlist options.

Prop Hunt has appeared in several Call of Duty titles. As a popular mode, each game seems to do its own rendition of the hide and seek variant. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War previously removed its Prop Hunt option, but it seems that players will not have to wait long for its return.

In a tweet from Treyarch Studios, the developer confirmed that the mid-season update will return Prop Hunt into the game’s rotation. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer fans will have new prop options within the game environment. Depending on the map, players can hide as a variety of objects that the developers normally place. With new maps and items scattered around each environment, there is no way to tell which props will be introduced in the new update.

Prop Hunt will return in next week’s mid-season update with Miami Strike and Satellite added to the map rotation, along with new props!

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War mid-season update is planned to launch on April 1. Many fans are distinctly aware that this could be part of an elaborate April Fools joke, but other players believe this is real. Prop Hunt is an extremely popular Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game mode and many community members return to the game to enjoy its experience.

Many fans believe that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War needs a permanent fun mode built into the game. With the current playlist featuring serious and competitive Call of Duty options, many fans prefer to return to the idea that the game should be enjoyed rather than won. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War offers an opportunity to enjoy the game experience and put winning, competition, and the game’s meta aside. With Prop Hunt’s return, many fans are excited for a chance to play another round of hide and seek.
